  • Current WIPs
I haven't had much time for personal art lately, but I did manage to get a start on a few things last month. I began working on the Cerberus image I posted earlier here, though I'm flopping between styles right now and I'm not sure which direction I want it to go in. I also briefly picked up a sketch of Merlin I did last year, but didn't get very far. And then last week my friend roped me into watching Criminal Minds so I did some doodling and came up with a Mandogisofish, where I was mulling over pill bugs, trilobites, and modern-day isopods (in particular, the ones that eat and replace the tongues of fish).
  • Animation test WIP
I was hankering to do another Lock run cycle last week and decided to go for a perspective view. Still a lot to work out, but it's getting there. I'd like to paint this guy up pretty when I'm done working out the kinks, give him a nice bg and make a moving painting out of it.

14 frames in PS, using the animation options in CS4.
  • Battle above the Eye

The images on my website are pretty small, so here's a better view of Battle Above the Eye. The piece was started over half a year ago so there's a lot my old painting style going on here, but I'm fairly pleased with how it turned out (pending screen contrast, I haven't been able to match my cintiq with the PC monitor as of yet).
